Prerequisites for a degree in accounting

A certification course in bookkeeping for example could possible have no prerequisites other than an interest in the study of business math and financial organization. Prerequisites for degree programs also range depending on what degree you are in pursuit of. Many associate andbaccalaureate degree programs vary in their prerequisites, while master's degrees will usually require a bachelor’s degree prior to higher studies.

All courses in an accounting degree will vary depending on program and institute of learning, but can be broken down by program level. Certificate courses are designed to allow graduates of the program to enter an entry-level position in an organization or business, while a degree program (associate’s or bachelor’s) is most commonly designed for careers in entry level or mid level employment as an accountant.
