Study Humanities Abroad

What better way to study human society than to study a humanities degree abroad? From the classics to today’s modern examples of man’s contribution to the world, the best way to experience them is from the birthplace where it all started.

Study ancient Rome in Italy or classic French philosophy in France. No matter where you go, you will gain the well-rounded knowledge to make your intelligence stand out at parties. Plus, employers love to see study abroad experience on your resume or CV.

Usually a humanities degree also requires a language component, making your study abroad experience the perfect opportunity to brush up on those language skills you picked up in high school or try an entirely new language.

Find the Best Humanities Degree

Earning a humanities degree isn’t easy, especially if you’re studying at one of the best humanities schools. But, that doesn’t mean it isn’t fun! Studying humanities gives students the flexibility to steer their education in the direction that suits them.

Most students begin a humanities program by getting an overview of the major subjects within the field, namely literature, history, philosophy, and language, to point out a few. As the years progress, students can begin to focus on the area of most interest to them so that by the final year, students have almost created an entirely customized program.

The best schools to study the humanities know that students will gain the most from their education by giving them the academic space to investigate new areas of interest and challenge themselves.

Prerequisites for a Degree in Humanities

Schools that offer a humanities degree will often require that prospective students have demonstrated they have previously performed well in their classes, especially classes focused on the humanities. Both undergraduate and graduate students will have to provide a copy of their academic transcripts, along with any standardized test results.

International students will also have to prove their English proficiency, as many humanities degrees are conducted entirely in English. An essay will also most likely be required to complete your application.
