Often medicine and dentistry are among the more expensive options with tuition fees around €20,000, while other programs can be as low as €4,500. Students studying in Hungary are expected to pay tuition fees as well as additional fees for application, registration and exams. There’re also numerous scholarships and grants to study in Hungary that international students can apply.

Entry Requirements, Visa and Accommodation

Keep in mind the entry requirement and conditions you must fulfill in order to get accepted to study in Hungary. This include: A high school diploma and transcripts, passing an entrance exam (in some cases), and proof of your English language skills.

After receiving the university acceptance letter, it's time to apply for a visa to study in Hungary. Make sure you gather all the requested documents and schedule an appointment well in advance. After the appointment, the visa processing time usually takes an additional 1 to 4 weeks so it's best to leave as much time as possible between your application time and your degree start date.

Accommodation is another important thing to sort out before you start your studies in Hungary.  Most universities in Hungary have dormitories, which are usually the cheapest alternative.
