Program content

The Ph.D. is developed in close collaboration with the Sant’Anna-IUSS Ph.D. in economics, in Pisa (Italy) and with OFCE-Sciences Po. It involves a program of 1 year and a half of intensive doctoral courses in various economic disciplines, econometrics, mathematics, and statistics.

Recruited candidates who successfully complete the one-and-a-half year course program work at the completion of a Ph.D. thesis in economics. The thesis work must be carried out at GREDEG (Groupe de Recherche en Droit, Economie, Gestion, UMR CNRS and UCA) and under the supervision of GREDEG’s scholars. Joint supervision with the other partner of the program (Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna) is also possible. GREDEG is a research center in economics, law, and management jointly operated by the CNRS (National Centre for Scientific Research) and Université Côte d'Azur.

An important characteristic of GREDEG is to favor multidisciplinary approaches. GREDEG’s scholars actively perform research in various domains of economics, including (but not limited to) the economics of innovation, industrial dynamics, international trade and macroeconomics, agent-based macroeconomics and finance, ecological economics, experimental economics, the economics of law and regulation, the history of economic thought.
