About this program

PhD Course in Sustainable Management of Agricultural Forestry and Food Resources-GeSoRAFA

The GeSoRAFA PhD program is organized and managed by the Dept. DAGRI with a dedicated office. The PhD office ( phdoffice@dagri.unifi.it ) supports the students in facing with necessary authorizations to use their own funds to buy equipment, tools, books, materials, etc. or conducting research activities outside the Department either in Italy or abroad for short or long term periods.

Annual meetings are organized by the PhD office to inform our PhD students about rules and guidelines that regulate the use of funds, the registration from the first to the third year, and the public defense of the thesis.

Admission requirements

Procedures for the admission test:

written test and oral test pursuant to art. 12, paragraph 1, lett. a) of the DR Regulation n. 670 of 4 July 2013.

As regards the written test, candidates will be asked to develop a theme by choosing one of the proposed tracks corresponding to each of the two curricula.

Exam topics related to the Pharmaceutical Sciences curriculum

The written test will be characterized by the development of a theme on a topic of design and synthesis, or molecular modeling or pharmaceutical analysis or pharmaceutical technology of pharmacologically active molecules of natural and synthetic origin.

The oral exam will focus on the discussion of the topic carried out by the candidate as well as on the discussion of any research project that the candidate may present at the time of the oral exam.

  • Food Science and Technology (FS&T)
  • Forest economics, planning and wood science (EPFSL)
  • Wine economics and rural development (EVSR)
